Mt. Tam has been a special place of inspiration for many generations of artists and writers from early settlers from the Hudson Valley to the Bohemian and Beat movements.  During this hike you will learn a little bit about this rich history\, what happens here today and hopefully make your own creative connection to Mt. Tam.  Bring a notebook\, pens/pencils and your curiosity!Distance: 3.3 milesElevation gain: 735 ftModerate. \nWhat to bring: Come prepared. Wear good hiking shoes/boots. Bring plenty of water\, lunch and snacks. Hiking poles are recommended on this mountain. This hike recommends also bringing a notebook and something to write with. \nParticipation: This hike is limited to 12 people on a first come\, first serve basis. Be on time to allow for parking and meeting with your group. No entrance fee. No pets (unless otherwise specified). \nCancellation policy: Rain or winds above 30 mph will cancel. \nParking: Pantoll\, Bootjack\, and East Peak trailheads require an $8 parking fee (exact change or check).
