DESCRIPTION:CANCELLEDTime: 4:00 PMTrailhead: Bootjack Parking Lot. \n*Please note earlier starting time for this evening hike!*“Water Views” Fitness hike with docent Catherine Orland. Weather permitting\, we’ll see great views of the SF Bay as well as the Pacific Ocean. Participants will gain an understanding of how water flows on Mt. Tam. They will see the differences between high and low flow points of Redwood Creek. The group will also be able to see how Mt. Tam provides connections between the Bay and the Pacific Ocean. \nDistance: 4.5 milesElevation gain: 1056 ft.Moderate. \nWhat to bring: Come prepared. Wear good hiking shoes/boots. Bring plenty of water\, lunch and snacks. Hiking poles are recommended on this mountain. \nParticipation: Hikes are limited to 20 people per leader. First come\, first serve. Be on time to allow for parking and meeting with your group. No entrance fee. No pets (unless otherwise specified). \nCancellation policy: Rain or winds above 30 mph will cancel. \nParking: Pantoll\, Bootjack\, and East Peak trailheads require an $8 parking fee (exact change or check).
