The Tamalpais Land Collaborative (TLC) plans to realign about a mile of the Redwood Creek Trail and build two new bridges over the stream\, to provide passage for horses and pedestrians and protect the creek and its inhabitants.  \nDistance: 6.2 miles. Elevation gain: 892 ft. Moderately Strenuous.Moderately Strenuous hikes will generally be challenging for an unconditioned person. The terrain will involve a steady and often steep incline. DESCRIPTION:SAVE THE DATE!Get ready to join us for this amazing physical and mental challenge!  \nRegistration REQUIRED CLICK HERE \nOn Saturday\, May 18 @8am meet at the Mt Home parking lot for the “Mt Tam Circumambulation” with park interpreters Rosanna Petralia and Eileen Bai.  \nWe will almost faithfully retrace the steps of Gary Snyder and Allen Ginsberg’s historic circumambulation. We’ll stop at 10 inspirational locations to share poems\, stories and nature awareness. The hike is 16 miles long and requires excellent form and stamina. Pace will be 2.5 miles per hour. Challenging difficulty\, 16 miles\, 3\,000 ft. elevation gain. Please\, make sure to bring enough water&food\, and wear the right clothing. Here is a suggested list. •Things to bring: hiking poles\, water (2 liters)\, 4-6 snacks\, lunch\, water filter (optional)\, medications (if any)\, solar screen\, and sun glasses.•What to wear: layered clothing (weather/expected high temperature: TBA)\, sturdy and comfy hiking boots (with ankle support if possible)\, sun hat\, bandana.  \nDO NOT MAKE OTHER PLANS FOR THE DAY!
