March 1st: Full Moon Hike. 4 miles/ 150 ft elevation gain

On March 1st the Moon will rise by 5PM before the Sun sets. Enjoying both daylight and moonlight, we will take the Old Stage fire road to West Point Inn. Once there, we’ll admire the Worm Moon on a backdrop of city lights from the East Bay (weather permitting). We will return the same way via the Old Stage fire road but in the dark.

This hike will be led by Docent Franklin Young. Hike docents have been trained under the California State Parks Volunteers in the Park Program (VIPP).
Trails: Stage Coach fire road (unpaved). It is suitable for low light and light rain.
Meeting place: Pantoll by the Friends of Mt. Tam trailer. There is a $8 parking fee. Helpful to have exact change.
