May 1st Full Moon Hike: 4 miles 150 ft elevation gain

On May 1st, the Sun will set at 8:01PM and the Moon will rise at 8:31PM. Under twilight, we will take the Old Stage fire road to West Point Inn. We’ll arrive just in time to admire the Full Moon on a backdrop of city and East Bay lights(weather permitting). We will return in the dark the same way via the Old Stage fire road.

This hike will be led by Docent Franklin Young. Hike docents have been trained under the California State Parks Volunteers in the Park Program (VIPP).
Trails: Stage Coach fire road (unpaved). It is suitable for low light and light rain.
Meeting place: Pantoll by the Friends of Mt. Tam trailer. There is a $8 parking fee. Pay with exact change or using QR code.
